Properties
Corrosion Resistance: The 430 stainless steel round bar has excellent corrosion resistance. It can withstand the corrosion of the atmosphere, acids, and saltwater solutions, and shows good corrosion resistance in oxidizing acid solutions.
Oxidation Resistance: It can resist oxidation. It can withstand a temperature of up to 870°C (1598°F) during irregular use, and can withstand a temperature of up to 815°C (1499°F) during continuous use.
Physical Properties: It has a density of 7.75g/cm³ and a melting point of 1427°C. Its coefficient of thermal expansion is smaller than that of austenitic stainless steel, and its thermal conductivity is better than that of austenitic stainless steel.
Machinability: In the annealed state, the 430 stainless steel round bar is relatively easy to machine.
